Review #91

Not to be the guy who ruins loads of lives by suggesting phone apps that completely consume your day, but this one is almost too good to pass up. It will have you and your loved ones sitting in opposite rooms battling each other for song recognition supremacy.

So here's the deal, you are sent challenges or challenge random people who match your skills (they'll be listed for your convenience) and you try to guess either the song name or the artist of the the song clips that play. You are given 5 seconds after which you aren't awarded any points and move on to the next song to guess. The object of the game is to guess the songs as quick as possible for points. The quicker you are, the more points, guess it wrong and you don't get any points.

The great thing about this game is that there are loads of playlists, so as the songs get stale, you either unlock more songs by getting more stars on a playlist or buy purchasing a whole new playlist with the in-game coins you win after each match, 3 for every challenge win, and 1 coin if you lose the challenge, so you never leave empty handed.

This game moves fast, you're only given seconds to guess on 6 songs, so things tend to get hectic and the more people you challenge the more you are able to play. The only time you end up waiting is when people aren't doing challenges back, so you end up waiting on them, however, you  are always free to challenge more and more people, so if you have some spare time on your hands, you can always find someone to play with.

The competition can get pretty stiff and you'll find yourself in opposite rooms as we chose to hear our phones more accurately, or sitting next to your opponent to jeer them as they struggle to play as quickly as possible, or they scam the answers to the songs from you. All 3 of these scenarios have occurred while I was playing, I'm sure there are more varied situations which I haven't encountered.

I found the game to be very addicting and within minutes had everyone else downloading and trying the game, it ended up being our way of keeping entertained for the rest of the night.

Enjoy, and I'm sorry for amount of time you'll lose to this game, cheers.
